The Lease-to-Own Purchase Program from Progressive is a convenient and flexible way to get the products you need today without having to make a substantial upfront payment or commit to a long-term arrangement.
Our program allows you to lease the product(s) you need and make manageable payments to own within 12 months. Once you complete all lease payments or use an early purchase option, ownership of the item(s) will transfer to you.
No, there are no application fees or processing fees when you apply for Progressive’s Lease-to-Own Program. Your initial payment will be deducted from your credit or debit card as soon as the lease is executed, but this payment is the first of your lease payments and is included in the total cost of the lease. If your application is not approved, you will not be charged anything. At Progressive Leasing, we believe in transparency and making the application process as simple and straightforward as possible. That’s why we don’t charge any hidden fees or costs.
“No Credit Needed” means that you don’t necessarily need to have credit history or a strong credit score to be approved for lease-to-own. We do check credit bureau reports; however, we look at many other data points to make a final decision, and we regularly approve customers with less than perfect credit or very little credit history.
Progressive Leasing obtains information from credit bureaus. Not all applicants are approved.
In order to apply you must be 18 years or older (19 in AL), have a valid Social Security Number or ITIN, routing and account numbers for an open and active checking account, and a credit or debit card.
Your approval is valid for 90 days. If you have not signed a lease-to-own agreement within 90 days, your approval expires, and you can reapply with Progressive Leasing.
Payments are automatically deducted from your bank account or charged to your card, depending on your preference. Please note that charges will appear on your statement as Progressive Leasing or Prog Lease, not the store where you selected your merchandise.
Once all scheduled payments are made or you use the buyout option, ownership of the items will transfer to you. At Progressive Leasing, we offer a standard agreement that provides you with 12 months to ownership. If you choose to exercise the 90-day purchase option, it will cost more than the retailer’s cash price (except for the 3-month option in CA).
If you decide to purchase the leased item(s) early, simply call 877-898-1970 to inquire about an early purchase option. Please note that regularly scheduled payments are still required, even if you intend to exercise an early purchase option.
We are happy to work with you to find a payment schedule that works. If you need to discuss potential changes to your payments, please call Customer Service at 877-898-1970 at least three business days before your next scheduled payment.

To return your item, contact Progressive Leasing customer service at877-898-1970. Progressive will evaluate the product to determine the proper course of action. You can cancel your lease at any time. You have the right to return the items to Progressive Leasing without additional charge or penalty, and you will owe nothing further except unpaid lease-to-own costs.
